Nicole Edel – Yoga Teacher, Reiki Healer, and Wellness Coach

Nicole is fuzzy sock wearing, corny Christmas movie loving yogi with a curiosity for the world and an affinity for adventure, which has taken her to 20 countries around the world. Raised in a small town in Southern Wisconsin, she was born and bred a Green Bay Packers fan and doesn’t miss watching a game!  She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Psychology from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee in 2007 and with a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Point Loma Nazarene University in 2014.  After working in the marketing industry for several years, Nicole felt she wasn’t fulfilling her true purpose in life.  In 2015, she decided to quit her job and set off on a journey throughout Southeast Asia.  While wandering the temples of Ankor Wat in Cambodia, Nicole was hit with an overpowering feeling that yoga was a part of her purpose.  Shortly after, she enrolled in a 200 hour teacher training with a well-known yogi in San Diego.

Her personal journey exploring yoga has allowed her to overcome trauma from the past, calm her anxiety and depression and find her life’s purpose.  She believes yoga is far more than just physical exercise and beneficial for the body, but a powerful tool for the mind to combat a variety of emotional issues in children, teens and adults. Nicole currently teaches Vinyasa and Hatha yoga classes throughout Southern California and volunteer teaches at a local alternative high school for kids with mental health issues.  When she isn’t yoga-ing, you’ll find Nicole soaking up the sun on the beach, painting or planning her next adrenaline pumping adventure scaling a rock or traveling to an exotic new place.  If you’re interested in setting up a private or small group yoga class with Nicole, contact us using the form to the right!
